The new consumer law is quite clear & the op was always entitled to reject within 28 days of purchase with full refund however he paid. I suggest he buys a German built caravan next time.

Agree 100% with opensauce..should have changed my car instead of my van when i had a Geist that was too heavy for my car ,so well built that i still regret parting with it

Yes, caravans are quite simple in construction. A new buyer is entitled to be furious & rightly entitled to reject & a refund if a new caravan is delivered with faults as described.
However, probably the same caravan could be fixed permanently quite easily by skilled operatives with the will & the time to produce a proper repair. So when it is sold again there is no reason why it should not be ok.

It will have to be sold as second hand because if they sell it as new they would be in serious trouble.

He/she can find out as we did. Ring Swift with the Cris no. and ask them has any warranty work been done on the caravan. Thy are quite happy to tell you.
