Hello,

My first post so be kind :)

I have Bailey Pegasus Milan S2 and looking at getting a motor mover as its gdoing my back in moving this around without one, thing is theres just so many caravan movers out there and i havent a clue.

My main concern is reliability and was wondering if anyone could suggest a particular brand which are renown for this?

I have spoken with a company local to me called midland caravan movers in Walsall who suggest Reich, can anyone vouch for this brand and company?

We've got a Powrtouch AWD for our Bailey. It's absolutely fantastic and comes with a 5 year warranty, I got Powrtouch to fit it and they'll also take it off and put it onto a new caravan if needed. We got the fully remote control version and it's literally a turn of a key in the battery box and away you go!!

We have had the same Powrtouch on 2 vans now and I have never had a single problem with it.

We had a Reich mover fitted by Midland three + years ago. It has been excellent. One advantage of the Reich that is not often mentioned is that it is fully galvanised and will not rust. Ours looks as good today as the day it was fitted.

We are having an automatic powrtouch fitted next week. I already have back problems and even though my husband is brilliant at reversing and siting the caravan, on a few occasions due to pitch allocation we have needed to man handle our elddis crusader hurricane into position. Then spent the next couple of days recovering.

Looked at all the options and decided on the powrtouch. Our dealer is fitting the automatic one for us for the same price as the manual model.

Hi Mark, we have Powrtouch on our latest van and on the one before.
We like the 5 year warrenty and the good customer service reputation they have built up.
In terms of usage, just turn on the master switch, engage the unit to the tyres then press the key pad on the hand control unit and away you go.
They do the job very well.

Hi
I have had an enduro one for 10+ years and had very little trouble with it. The only thing I had to do is replace the bearing in the rollers a very simple DIY job. A little rusty now but it works well.

Another vote for the Powrtouch!

I have had Powrtouch movers for over 10 years , first had the manual engage for my single axle Bailey Pageant in 2005, then moved to a manual AWD for my twin axle crusader and last year when purchasing a new Crusader had the new AWD automatic Evolution fitted.
Great Warranty (5 year) with first class back up. About 3 years ago
I had a battery wire break on the remote handset, I sent it to them
day 1 , it was back in my letterbox day 3 all done.
Personally, I wouldn't buy any other, it has never let me down .

i have a reich mover,not had any problems with it in 7 years, now on 2nd van

I might just be my imagination but when I have seen some movers on vans which seem very low to the ground, (without much ground clearance). Not sure what make they are, but do some get knocked by speed humps?

Powrtouch auto, about £1000 fitted when we bought teo years ago at caravan show NEC.
If you can wait till the shows are on they tend to do deals/offers.
It since been moved and re-fitted to our new van with no problems or issues

DIY fitted a power touch classic (manual), back in May (ish).

Not a hard job to do either. Only heavy bit was the motors, but I used a trolley jack to slide it under and into position.

Also, when I was looking at other movers in the storage yard, I too saw them getting a bit rusty. So what I did with mine with it being brand new, spray everything except the rollers in white grease.

That way I know it'll be protected and water proofed.

(We use it at work to prevent rust forming on machinery and waterproofing).

Reich has been around a long time - before many of the more recent entrants to the market, and were perhaps considered to be high end (expensive).

I bought an older blue painted 4wd version second hand, and stripped it down for a though condition check before fitting. I had it re powdered coated, but the working components were utterly unworn, and perfctly servicable. Their only downside is weight, as they are heavily engineered, but top quality
