Please can you give me some advice? We have been offered a 875cm awning, our Lunar Stellar caravan book says an 850 cm awning is correct one for our caravan, will 875 fit or be useless?
Thanks for any help.
If I understand correctly how the awning sizes are stated then the awning you are considering is 250mm longer than you need. This means each side of the awning as it exits the van channel is 5 inches nearer to the ground...........if you are on a pitch that runs downhill from the awning side of the van it would work quite well. If the pitch is level however, the bottom of the awning canvas rather than the skirt may be very close or even touch the ground........me.....I would take the risk anyway and try it out......if it proves unsuitable you may pass it on.

You could also carry levelling blocks to raise one side (door side) if pitched across a slope or both both sides if pitch is level or slopes downwards.
Can you try the awning on the van. Some manufacturers quote measurements between 2 sizes but if it is too big it will be a pain if you have to start raising the van to make it fit.
You could have the awning reduced in size, I don't know which area you are from but up here in Newcastle we have the awning clinic, they can reduce or even enlarge awnings. If it's the perfect size then you will find it much easier.
