Be careful with tyre pressures. When we had a new Trigano 340 the tyre pressures in the handbook were higher than the maximum allowed pressure stated on the tyre sidewalls.

There's an easy way of calculating tyre pressures:

http://www.tyresafe.org/check-your-pressures/caravan-pressure-calculator/

The handbook was not very useful, the UK versions are quite a bit different to French models, and some of the equipment is dealer fitted. Its fairly easy to Google manuals for the various appliances like the fridge or water heater.

Thanks for the info, the calc for my pressure gives 46 psi and warns me that it exceeds the max Tyre pressure. I have found some info on google for the water heater and I will have to look further into tyre pressure figures for the 310

46psi seems a bit high, though someone might have fitted the wrong tyres since new. Try here, this website is I think the one I used and seemed to come out correctly:

https://caravanchronicles.com/guides/calculate-the-correct-tyre-pressure-for-your-caravan/

I'd also check the spare, that might not have been changed and might have a different load rating.

After finding the handbook wrong, the dealer paid for the tyres on mine to be replaced, and I bought Avon trailer tyres. Bit more expensive, but a marked improvement with handling. It was always steady as a rock on the road.

Really sorry now I sold the Trigano. It was the only leak free new caravan I've owned. The other three all have leaked within the first year.

Thanks for your response, checking out all the info for the tyres (165-70 R 13 T) Max psi 44 Load 437 and using the last calc page info I have worked it out as 750kg=35 psi 800kg=40 and max 874kg=44 so I guess I need to know what my weight is after I add all those extras that seem to end up in the caravan such as awning chairs etc.Spare tyre never been used and is the same as those on the caravan so I guess the tyres are correct. Hope this Trigano works out as leak proof as yours as it is 2007 and seems in good order.

That's a rather light tyre loading! Have you checked the date on the tyres? The MTPLM for a Trigano 310 is 850kg.

Thus the tyres could be being used very close to their permissible maximum. If the are 5+ years old you really will need to change them, but I'd still consider changing them if they are newer. A burst tyre will make a lot of damage. The original tyres on mine were thinner than bicycle tyres, and judging from the pressure needed I would say yours will be pretty thin too.

See here for finding date:
