What's the best services for ease of access and parking towing a caravan on the m5 south bound from m42. Travelling to Cornwall. We found Exeter ok last year, but any others? It's not for overnight. Also what about northbound m5 up to m42. Last year we stopped at one northbound and had to come out as so busy and a nightmare to get parked up - can't remember the name but it involved going in a covered area. wouldn't want to go there again!

Gloucester is very good and with a dedicated caravan area. If that one is full then Michaelwood is next one down southbound and that is also good.

I used Bridgewater last year, drive in and reverse out (or was it the other way round?) and didn't see a lot of room to manoeuvre, so would now avoid. Actually ended up in a coach bay.

Depending on how far into Cornwall you're going, the new Cornwall Services on the A30 at Bodmin/Victoria are good. Plenty of room for caravans too.

Thanks. We are here at at Ives now. Took 9 hours with 3 half hour stops at Tamworth, sedgemoor and Exeter. No traffic jams at all. Got to the site at 01:15 and overnighted on the arrivals field.
