After a lot of deliberation, we've decided to sell our caravan.
Have had a price from webuyanyleisurevehicle which is a bit less than if we went the private sale route but they do come and collect and claim to pay the money straight into your account.
I was wondering if anyone had had any dealings with them as I'd never heard of them until two days ago.
No direct experience of them. Make sure that you get confirmation of the price though. Some webuyanywhatever type companies pay after receiving the goods and have been known to discover problems/issues which lead to them reducing the payment substantially. By which time they've got your goods.

Yeah, bonefide, you should be ok. Only thing is, just like places like Webuyanycar.com, they may try to reduce the price on collection if they can find any defects you haven't mentioned.

Thanks for the replys guys,
They have said the price is subject to inspection but I would expect that to be honest, as far as they know I might have run it into a ditch and still call it good condition.
Just seems a bit less hassle than having to take multiple prospective buyers up to our storage as they wouldn't just be able to walk in to look at it.
These companies are notorious for turning up and offering a much, much lower price once they have seen the vehicle.
If you are prepared for this, and if you are prepared to say "no" to them if the offer is sily/insulting, then go ahead. You already know you're getting a lower price to reduce the hassle of selling.
There are dealers who will take your caravan onto their premises and sell on your behalf, obviously taking a chunk of commission. Have you considered that? It would mean you don't actually have to do the selling/showing yourselves which takes away the timewaster element.
Funnily enough Head Gardener, I've been in touch with a local company this morning about just such an arrangement, just waiting for them to call me back.
Good luck Rich, I'm guessing that selling your van is not an easy decision to make, so anything you can do to make the process less of a strain on yourself is worth considering.
I think there are issues with both methods you are thinking about using to sell your caravan.
The webuyany???? type sales will do as has been mentioned, try to knock the price down when inspecting the caravan.
They work on the assumption that as they have the van on there premises and you would rather not have to go back and pick it up yourself, works in there favour to offer less.
They assume you are desperate for the cash by simply using them and not selling privately where you would easily get more.
The other method of putting it on a dealers forecourt to sell for you also has issues.
How would you know how much they sell it for as you will get paid from that company ,not the seller and will deduct their commission before paying you!
The caravan will also be on their premises at your own risk!
Would be great if you could guarantee their honesty but these companys are in the business of making money from setups like this and will do what they can to maximise their profit!
Sell privately and encourage the buyers to fully check the caravan to their satisfaction and sell with receipt stating sold as seen, inspected and approved.
That way you are being open and not trying to hide anything.

Thanks everyone for all your input. I am starting to lean towards a private sale as I have all the kit to go with it that would suit a buyer but the dealers wouldn't be interested in. I was looking for a quick sale which was why the dealer idea appealed at first. Currently looking through my photos to see if any will be suitable.
i put my 03 bailey ranger on here and on ebay.First person to see it bought it. they offered £100 less than asking price.they were happy and so was i. It is supposed to be a good year for buying and selling caravans as less people are going abroad.van sold in 2 days.Best way to sell i think.I would not have got my price through a dealer or any other company.i looked at an average price for my model on the net and under cut it slightly.
snagz, sell to a dealer and you will be shafted. I speak from personal experience. The Pageant range were good caravans and I'm sure you will get a buyer whether you use ebay or whatever. Do someone a favour and sell it privately.
Hi Snagz, I am considering getting a price from webuyanylesiurevehicle. When you say their price was a little less than private sale how close was it to what you were expecting or what you thought your van is worth? Also were they interested in just the van or any extras if you had any? Thanks Gary
