My wife has gradually got worse with her mobility and is now finding it extremely difficult to use the standard two step caravan step because of the weakness in her legs. I did think about a step with three steps, the lesser height between treads maybe helping. Has anyone experienced similar problems or has any idea's?

Rick,
On a campsite we were on recently a couple had a set of white steps with an extended grabrail each side approximately 3 foot high attached to it.The grabrails were removable because they took it apart to leave.
Judging buy it's design and colour I would say it came from a shop catering for the infirm.
I am at present trying to get my 90 year old mothers house suitable for the same reasons you have and have come across similar items.
Might be worth a look.
Perhaps the other alternative (not sure if they are load bearing) ,the Fiamma 31 door lock which always struck me as an ideal support to enter a van.I am up my mothers later today and will search through the catalogues and if I find them will let you know ,but as I say ,might be worth a look in that type of catalogue online. There are now many such firms on the net and if you register and your wife has an ongoing complaint e.g arthritis , it is VAT free.
Hope you can sort it out
Best wishes,
Greg
