Those of you that have an air awning, how do you set yours up? Do you peg it first and pump it up or vice versa? I've used ours 3 times now and end up doing different every time as the instructions that came with it are very vague.
I think it needs to be pegged at the corners at the van, pumped up and then peg the rest.
Anyone help?

Kind regards

Matthew

i guess it depends on the awning.

we have a outdoor revolution speed 2, and there are 4 pegs you need to put in before pumping....the two nearest the van and then the 2 at the bottom of the tube.

There are straps in place that act as a jig for each of these pegging points to provide you with accurate pegging so you put everything in the right place before you start pumping.

Mine is totally different, it's the Suncamp ultima which has 4 different beams that need pumping up. I guess I'll get used to it but at the moment it's bugging me.

Have a search on You tube. I have the Pacific, blow up first, peg then fully blow up.

Loosely peg the four corners. The awning is only held in place along the top rail so if it is a windy day you potentially have a very big kite!!!!!!!

We pump then peg, although Kampa's YouTube video pegs first. We just find it easier to finalise positioning when it's inflated.

Thanks guys, I totally agree with pumping then pegging. It just seems wrong having to peg it and then having to do loads of adjustments after you pumped it. At least if it's pumped first you can get the correct position and shape and then peg it. Thanks again for the replies.

Either 2 back pegs or if fairly windy front corners too. You can a,ways adjust if not happy. Have tried with no pegs and definitely easier with a couple of legs in!
