We have just bought the above caravan and are trying to kit it and arrange it in the most efficinet way possible for 2 adults and 1 21 month old. Have got a cot arrangement sorted in lower bunk. Was just wondering if anyone had any advice about what they put in specific cupboards eg cupboard above cooker...is that the best place for the food as it gets so warm when cooking? Cupboard under tv good idea for toy aupboard?
Would appreciate some thoughts

My advice would be to concentrate less on an ideal setup for your young child and more on the safest places to store things for towing.

Food, if it consists of jars and tins, will have considerable weight, mass and inertia; storing it high up will destabilise your 'van.

Much better idea to re-jig the 'van for your child once it's pitched. BTW cot-in-bunk sounds brilliant idea.

We always put mugs, plates, tea, coffee, etc above the cooker.   We put tinned food and bottles opposite (next to the door) lighter things in the front l/h cupboards - like packet food - A box of medical things in the r/h front cupboard - storage boxes and bags etc in the locker next to the sink - opposite the door.

Try to load heavy items over the axle with lighter items in front of and behind axle. Check van nose weight until you are confident that you are loading it correctly. This can easily be done using a set of bathroom scales with a piece of timber under tow hitch and sat on scales. Happy caravanning.
