Talking to a policeman today who I know is a caravanner. He was asking about my security etc and advised that a spate of caravan thefts in scotland have been down to crooks fitting home made trackers to the underside of the van while it's pitched on a site then simply follow the signal back to where it's kept/stored. Having a look online tonight I can buy the bits to make a tracker for under ten pounds and if you had the know, this could be built in half an hour. So something else for you to watch out for.

I visit a caravan site & stick a tracker onto a van.
I then wait until that van goes home, maybe a couple of hundred miles away, maybe to a secure storage site, & then travel there & try to steal the van?
I'm sure I'm missing something important, but I can't see what I would get out of this scheme.
