For the last year or so we have had a little selfbuild campervan, but after using it half a dozen times or so find the hassle of packing up everytime we need some supplies a bit of a bind, last straw was when we ran out of gas halfway through cooking breakfast, the site we were on didn't sell gas and it took us 45 minutes to find somewhere that did, also my wife missed having a caravan.
Anyway this week i'm fitting a towbar to my C4 Grand Picasso and then on the hunt for our next van, we're waiting to end of season when people who've tried but didn't enjoy vanning and have nowhere to store need to sell.
We like you went back to a caravan. I just love having a car with us to get out and about. I also like the space in a caravan. We bought our caravan during the winter when we got a better deal.

Just a word of warning, check the towing limit of your Grand Picasso, especially if its one with flappy paddle gear selection. When we changed to a 'van, we found out the C4GP has a low towing limit. Have a look at the V5 or vehicle plate.

Thanks for the reminder, mines a 1.8 16v petrol 7 seater, V5 shows a max braked trailer weight of 1500kgs and unbraked of 750kgs.
I'm looking for a van up to about 1150 kg when fully laden which if my man maths are right comes in at 76% kerbweight.
I know there are plenty of early to mid 90's and later vans that would suit me it's just a question of finding the right one.
