Yep will be insuring it :) we do have restrictive covenants regarding caravans, although this won't be a problem for us in terms of complaints (lots of vans on the estate) will it void the insurance?
The covenant will usually be down to the original builders, they want the houses to appear in a good light.
Quite often they will exclude goods vehicles and caravans/trailers etc. Until th elast house sells then they often have litte interest in what you do. Unless they plan on building more next door in the near future.
Even if i had the space i wouldnt want the caravan sitting on the drive, everyone will know you are away.
Our neighbours know our habits now anyway, and they often know we are off before we do
(quite often we pack away before we have even booked anywhere)
A couple of months back i got up on Sunday morning and booked the site literally 10 minutes before leaving the house.
Prospective thieves would also find it difficult to steal if fitted with "winter wheels", some of which can be fitted with locking plates over the wheel nuts. You may find these a bit of a nuisance to fit and remove yourself though.
