Does any one else have this problem
We store our caravan on a farm .
Excellent facillities and space . However a working farm so lots of flies.
We have lots of fly poo spots over the van . They do come off easily but around the door there is a gap and they must be using this as a toilet. It has a lot of fly poo spots .
We were thinking of putting a strip around the door . We thought maybe the trim that people tread through the awning track . But would this leak and let water in .
Any ideas or does any one else have this problem . I never see anyone else on the storage site to ask them . also I'm worried about them getting in the fridge vents .
Hi,
Some years ago ,my eldest son moved into a house which had been shut up for weeks.
When we went in there were flies everywhere,it was disgusting.
A local lady gave us a lavender plant and the effect was almost instantaneous ,they all left rapidly.
Not sure if it would have the same effect outdoors but perhaps a pot outside by the "toilet area"
A link below might be helpful.
Regards,
Greg
What about using a cover that covers the whole van? I realise it will be extra work to put on / take off. And you would then have a cover with the mess on to sort out.....but just an idea.
