After many years of camping under canvas we have finally taken the plunge into buying a caravan. We picked up a 2000 Sterling Eccles moonstone on Thursday. We're very excited about taking it out for the first time, I'm no expert by any means but the van is in great condition with no signs of damp and just a couple of dents on one side. Not really got much of a clue with anything else but were looking forward to learning. Especially the delights of not walking to the loo at all hours of the night.

Welcome to the site and to the wonderful world of caravanning. We made the move from a tent to a caravan in 2010 and absolute love the whole experience. We use our van all year round, in all weathers, couldn't do that with the tent.

When (if) we eventually get a caravan the toilet will be bolted shut. There is no way I am emptying it out . No f8888ng way.
I am gagging at the prospect.

Off to the toilet block you go, same as everyone else.
