Hicampers,
I have a truma ultraflow system on my van works fine
Problem I've got is when I come to disconnect it it's
Very difficult to remove it I've tried all I can think
of wandering if anyone else has had this problem or
any advice much appreciated.
Tony are you getting water running out of a small hole in the socket just below the pump plug when running water in the caravan? Get someone to run a tap while you check outside.
Tony2020, I upgraded my previous van to using the Ultraflow (and the current Swift has the same inlet) and I do find the connection goes quite tight. Olive oil helped to a small degree, but it's clearly tight for the 'o' ring to make an efficient seal.
Wifey can't disconnect the inlet when we de-camp
My ultra-flow has a blue lever on under side of piece that pushes into socket on van to remove press lever up twist slightly and pull out at same time easy peasy.
Never ever use Vaseline on "o" RINGS this will cause "O" rings to fail use plummer's grease safe for drinking tap washers ETC About £1.99 for tube that will last you 3/5 years.
Thanks for that Paul this is the second one I've replaced that's developed a crack in it. The first one I replaced was a really tight fit couldn't believe it when it happened again as the water leaks under the bed.new it had gone again when turning the tap on it started spluttering as air was getting in.when replacing the second one I made the hole slightly bigger thinking it's so tight up against the body pot holes or humps might be causing the problem.
