We have just bought a 2014 Sprite Major 4 with the twin dinette option. Very happy as we can make rear dinette into a double bed and leave made up or if have guests can make it back into seating.
Good a good trade in for our Swift which we bough last year as a taster for my hubby to see if he likes caravanning.
Also got a new Dorema awning as we are going on a seasonal pitch next March, plus carpet and caravan cover being thrown in.
Very happy and feel we got a good deal, but I know the dealer is the winner but can recommend the Caravan Company in Northampton.

.Very pleased for you, hope you enjoy the caravan.
I may be an old cynic but I think you can only judge a dealer or manufacturer when asked to deal with a problem when something goes wrong. I hope you dealer is better than the last 2 I have been acquainted with. Anyway it is so far so good!

We had a few things broken or problems with our first one and Matt at the caravan company sent out a mobile engineer each time so cannot fault their service which is why we went back.

Our first caravan was twin dinette layout. It is a very flexible layout and a good use of space. The layout seems to be making a bit of a comeback

Did you leave the dinette made up as double bed as I wondered as the table drops down to form part of base if we would get condinsation under the mattress. This is what we intend to do most of the time as usually just me and OH.

We have the traditional twin dinette layout which has a dinette/double bed at each end of the caravan. Both beds use pull out slats to make up part of the bed base, thus reducing the problem of condensation.
Your Sprite has a central dinette/bed which requires a solid base and so you will probably find that you need to turn the mattress each day to avoid any problems, particularly in colder weather.

Thank you. I had thought of putting slats there instead so will look into that.

Before you undertake any alterations I would check that the rear double is big enough and comfortable enough to use permanently made up. We only use the rear double for overnight stops when travelling abroad as it is narrower than the front double.
I seem to remember that the rear bed on the Sprite tapers at one end which is fine for occasional use but may not be suitable for longer stays. On the 5 berth the cushions also folded out so they were only half thickness as a mattress, but I don't know if that also applies to yours.

No the cushions are the same as the front ones so don't fold out. Yes it is narrower one end but I think most of the fixed beds are as well. My hubby has said we may get a mattress to put on top which we may be able to add an inch or so as I have noticed most fixed beds are like this. It was him that liked the layout but I preferred a fixed bed but being the good wifey that I am ( please excuse the cough then) I went along with him. I am sure we can make it work we have no choice now as we pick it up next week.

I'm with your husband on this one as I prefer the flexibility of the twin dinette, particularly when travelling. However we must be in the minority as I don't think there are any British lightweight 4/5 berth vans using this design for 2017.
Best wishes for next week and enjoy your van.
