Hi
We're thinking of selling up...
Has anybody used national caravan buyer or we buy touring caravans?
Also we have a power touch motor mover - can that be removed and sold separately?
Thanks in advance.

These 'we buy' sites wont give you anything like what you want for the van. They are only after paying the minimum amount. Far better to sell privately, if you are selling up.
The mover can be removed and sold separate (which i'd definitely do if selling to the above), but otherwise its a selling point to potential purchasers over one that hasnt. Especially if its not that new, so not worth a lot on ebay etc. for the bother of stripping it away.

I have just sold mine on Caravanfinder.I was offered £10k part ex and sold it for £12k . I felt that leaving mover on helped sell it but it was a good price about £2k less than dealer.

We sold ours on classified ad on eBay. Be prepared for people offering stupid money, I don't understand why people think you are desperate if you are selling up.
Caravanfinder was expensive and we only had one enquiry and that was a dealer!
Good luck.

Thanks. Think we'll give a good clean and try eBay. We're in no hurry to sell, just the time had come.

Good luck.
Please can I ask what sort of price you were quoted from CaravanFinder.
After a lovely first year with our Lunar Quasar we've concluded that a different layout will suit us better. Approaching retirement we can really only afford one 'buy and sell', and if it wasn't for wanting fixed singles instead of the current fixed double we would not sell at all.
Currently considering all options, clearly getting a part-ex on our next van is easiest, but will probably cost us the most in terms of pure 'cost of change'.
Thanks

We sold our van this year. We started with an online quote from webuyanyleisurevehicle which was a good 2.5k below the average going price on an ebay search.
Put it on Gumtree with a few pictures and it sold in a week to the first people who came and viewed it.
