Hi I've tried to find indoor storage for my caravan for winter but I can't find any within a reasonable drive I've got it securely stored in outdoor storage but now I want to get a cover for it any recommendations for type or make also my caravan is 23 ft so would I be better getting a 21 to 23 ft or 23 to 25 ft thanks it's our first winter having it and it's always been indoor stored by old owner anything else I need to do with it to keep it good for the winter ☺?
Ive just bought a new one for my bigger caravan, I was told by my service chap to buy a Maypole. My van is 26ft and its cost £160 plus its breathable too, apart from that there are more expensive, made to measure ones costing £399.00.
Hope this helps

Don't get one that is too big - it will flap in the wind, and this may chafe the paintwork or generate small scratches on the windows. The specialised makers usually have patterns for the majority of caravans, meaning you will get one that fits properly.
I agree totally, get the smaller one as there is a slight stretch in them. I have a "Kampa" (I think that is what it is called) and I purchased the smaller one and it fits perfectly.
As I do not enter the van when it is laid up for the winter, I do not see the point in the extra expense for a custom made one so that there is a door to get access into the van.
I give the van a through wash and cover it, 5 months later, I remove the cover and the van is sparkling, I would highly recommend it, even though sooo many people will tell you stories of damp & mildew, (I have never had a problem like this and have been using a cover for the past 5 years)
I am very interested in the cover recommended above . But ...
We had one on our last but one caravan , I only used it once because we found the van felt damp inside and had a powdery film over the outside . I thought this was a form of mildew . So I was afraid to use it again . It was a made to measure one . Good quality .
I would however like one now for the caravan we have but thought maybe the cheaper ones would be better . I don't want to pay a lot of money that will be the same as the last .
We are storing now on a farm and they have a lots of flies and our van has a lot of fly poo on it . I thought maybe .a cover . But are the cheaper ones lighter and pack away smaller . Any advice or recommendations . Also has anyone else had the same problem that we had with our last cover.
