We have a 2014 Unicorn Vigo. The telescopic/lift fixed bed frame recently broke on one side, leading to a temporary repair with tie wraps while on holiday!
I have reported it to our dealer who have submitted a warranty claim.
Bailey have rejected it as out of warranty!
Pretty good for a £20K van! (Our 5th bailey).
I wil have to get the dealer to order the part, or do it myself . Part costs £168!
I am not impressed and will be writing to Bailey.
This van was our retirement van, and is definitely the worst finished of the 5 we have owned over many years.
Unlikely to purchase another bailey product.

Looking at our new Bailey warranty the bed frame seems to have a 24month warranty only. Items supplied by someone other than Bailey seem to be 36month.
Is it the metal bed frame or the gas strut which has broken. You can get gas struts elsewhere, probably cheaper.

Thats correct. I have spoken to the dealer who say they can change the runners at less cost than a new frame! £ 40 ish plus labour.
They suggested I contact customer services as they can reconsider the rejection, so I have.
Wait and see!

Bailey customer service said sorry but no!
I have asked the dealer to order the runners and booked it in.
Shame they cannot have a standard 3 year warranty for everything!

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
It seems anything Bailey buy in is 3 year as that is easy for them to pass the cost onto the supplier but anything made by Bailey is only 2 years.
Looking at the Bodyshell Integrity Guarantee it only covers structural degradation to the bodyshell arising from water ingress. That is a long way from guaranteeing it wont leak or paying for the leak to be repaired.
Seeing as the structure is probably very unlikely to be damaged by water ingress it's not much is it.
6 Year Bodyshell Integrity Guarantee
Bailey Alu-Tech caravans are covered by a six (6) year Bodyshell Integrity Guarantee from the initial date of purchase. This cover extends to any structural degradation to the bodyshell that arises as a result of water ingress through any permanently sealed seam or joint with the exception of exclusions stated in the terms and conditions.
The following item is covered for three (3) years from the date of first registration
• Colour fastness of caravan bodyshell panels.
My interpretation is that the Bailey manufacturers warranty is as good as any of their competitors and better in some areas. Pretty much everything for 2 years and a list of specific equipment for the 3rd year. I checked and most the other manufacturers only offer the comprehensive list for one year then the more limited list for two.
It would be my assumption that consequental damage to furniture etc. due to water ingress would be covered as well?
This is our 5th Bailey, all from Salop Caravans Cosford. We have never had a major fault with any so we will have to take this one in the wallet! Its annoying.
Salop are a very good dealer who I happily recommend.
