When we downsized to this caravan at the beginning of this season, have to admit we had serious doubts about the amount or apparent lack of storage and shorter length. We did have times after we ordered it when we thought we had made the wrong decision. However we needn't have worried, we still have room to spare and could probably make do with less. There are at least two cupboards that we don't use very often.
It is marketed as a four berth, but to us it is more suited for two people who want a fixed bed and want to keep the end bathroom, but could accommodate occasional four person use. An awning would definitely be needed if there was more than two people. We have been surprised at how quickly we adapted to having less room having had a twin axle in the past.
We are gradually getting used to the new heating system and find it good.
Really like how easy it is to manoeuvre and it is easy to tow. It was a bit "bouncy" on our first outing, but we have moved some of our equipment more towards the front, to increase the nose weight and this has solved the problem.
Overall we are pleased with this van.
The only gripe we have at the moment is with the seat cushions. They are comfortable to sit on but tend to move towards the edge, as if they are going to fall off. Haven't been able to figure out a way of preventing this yet.
Would say to anyone who is considering a smaller van for two people to have a look at this one.

We have the Pursuit 400-2 and if you think yours is small you should see ours, yet there's loads of room inside. No front locker makes a huge difference but I can still get all I need in the side gas locker.

Our seat cushions don't seem to move to the edge.

I love the little fold out table and extra flap in the kitchen. Reminds me of the good old days when they knew how to squeeze a lot into a small space.

The roof lockers in the lounge don't have anything to hold them shut when towing. Be careful what you put in them.

Cant beat the old standby Velcro,,or you could try the anti slip matting between the seat and base.

We have had our Modena now for 6 months and love it. Can't believe the amount of storage space. For 2 of us it is ideal. We have had 8 this summer so we've decided to go for a better awning than the 1 we have as we were a bit squashed. We have had a couple of trips with 4 of us. My sister said the diner/bed is so comfy.
We had the same problem as you the seat cushion sliding but it seems to have stopped I am not sure how.

We call it the dinky toy, as that's what it looks like compared to the twin axle we had, but are amazed by the amount of storage space there actually is, doesn't look like it when you first see it.
We had to get a smaller awning, so have gone for one of the Kampa air ones, despite being wary about them my OH now thinks they are great. We tried it on the van at home before going on holiday and our teenage son is miffed as he reckons they are 15yrs too late making them after the amount of "pole Holding" he had to do.
Hopefully the set cushions will stop sliding, but we can always try Velcro as suggested earlier

Re the cushions. It is a known problem on Pegasus vans. Talk to your dealer about a warranty fix.

re the Kampa Awnings. We went to the NEC show last week and looked at their air awnings.Their concept of awnings is brilliant. They have a new Frontier Air Pro awning which basically fits a 4m rail but the awning is 8m wide.

Re the cushions, we are going out this weekend in our van so will look again at the cushion issue and report back.

We went to the show in February to see what awnings were there.
We liked the idea of the Quest awnings that stays in a bag on the side of the van like a canopy and then you just had to add sides if you wanted to use it like an awning. When we came home we bought one from the dealer that we had bought our van from and as it turned out was good that we didn't buy at the show.
It had been on the side of the van for a few weeks before we first used it.When we rolled it out of the bag for the first time it was mildewed. We returned it to where we had bought it and it was replaced with another one. We put the replacement onto the side of the van and checked it after it had rained, when we opened the zip water dripped out and the inside of the bag was wet. These awnings are advertised as being able to be kept in the awning channel without having to be removed and the bag is supposed to be waterproof. We returned this one as well, as we had lost confidence in it and ended up buying the air awning.
Have to say we were disappointed with the Quest awning as we had thought we had found a compromise between having to have a separate canopy and as awning as well.

We have had an awning in the bag twice before both failed. Like you we had mildew and could not cope with heavy rain. Water would build up in front of the poles and sag.

I'm in the caravan at the moment looking at the sliding cushion issue. We have the upgrade cushions which have memory foam mattress on the underside. These are fastened with straps to the cushions. But feeling the lining material around the memory foam we notice there are very silky so does slide a bit. My wife suggests putting a non slip material between the mattress and the cushions so there is a bit of "grip".

We were away this weekend and thought that it may not have been so bad, but it could just be us willing it to be better.
