On a couple of sites during this season our fridge has stopped working on EHU and we've had to change to gas.
The rest of the caravan's electrics have been fine and nothing has tripped.
Is it possible that the EHU lacks the amps to power the fridge, perhaps because other campers are drawing power (it's always been cold when this happens), or might I have a fault. Fridge only 2 years old though.

If the weather was particulary hot when the fridge stopped working on electric, the advice is to change over to gas anyway as the fridge doesn't run efficiently.

If it was cold and a lot of people were using the supply it's possible that voltage drop on the mains could cause a problem with the modern electronically controlled units not the Amps.

Interestingly, I have found the Thetford fridge in my 2015 Swift is very fussy with EHU too. One site in particular when under demand, seems to deliver only about 210v to the van and under this condition, my fridge goes into error and I have to revert to gas.
If the fridge element is 125W at 230v it s designed to be at optimum efficiency at that voltage,if the voltage drops to 110V then it will only be delivering app 104W.
It is possble that this may be below the rating required to maintain the temperature and the system may indicate an error to warn that it is advisable to switch to gas.

Mine over-iced itself in hot sunshine on that side of the van and switched itself off for 12 hours. After it had de-iced, it started working again. I put a sunshade over that side of the van now if the weather is really hot, and we've had some hot ones this year! :)
As it's been cold when this has happened to you, I'm not sure if the above is the case. It does sound more like a power drop to me as well.
