First, apologies for my sudden flurry of questions, but I'm sure you've all been there, and it's our first sortie into caravans!
All the replies to earlier queries have been truly helpful.

We're now sort of tempted by a private ad for an early 1990's Rapido Club 31T going for just under £3000, or another, Rapido Club 32 from early 2000's for just under £5000, on condition that we'd get either thoroughly checked by a professional engineer first.
Assuming either or both pass their examinations, we'll welcome advice.
It's really hard to get spec details on these models online, and I'm not inclined to pay to join the Rapido Club just in case we buy one, so any more info there would be good too.
But mainly: if they're in decent order, are they likely to be a good buy?
On the down side, they appear to be unheated from what I'm seeing...

You see plenty of them in France, as they go free on the autoroute, although I guess you know that.

There was a couple of Rapido's on the campsite that we were at in Frejus 2015, and they do look to be well finished vans.

Those prices do seem high, for such an old van, although I am comparing to Burstner Premio 510, which were working out at £10k brand new last year if bought in Holland.

Although I guess a pop top comes at a premium a bit like what the Trigano Silver vans do.

So not really fair of me to compare to a regular style caravan.

Can you ask the seller for details of what kit they actually have. You may find things like water heater and room heater were optional extras when new or may have been retro fitted.

Thanks, will check on water heater - I know there's no room heater. He said they used a fan or other portable, also that just leaving a cooker ring on warmed it up quickly, being so small.

We just recently sold our Fleurette Tamaris (1998 model)which is almost identical to the Rapido Club.

Ours had no hot water system or room heater. (we used a portable fan heater which heated it up in minutes)

These are amazing little vans which are a dream to tow (40 mpg with our Renault Megane) and, due to their low height - only get charged as a class 1 on continental toll roads.

The prices you quote seem a little high but I suppose it depends on the condition of the van and what extras it's got. It's worth checking www.caravanfinder.co.uk and Gumtree to see what sort of prices these caravans are going for
