Hi
We have a 2008 Abbey Vogue 600,with an on-board cold tank. If we fill the tank and don't refill the barrel, the water drains back to the barrel. I have replaced the housing into the van (at least it looks nice now!) but to no avail. Can anybody shed some light on how I can cure this as it seems to affect the pressure of my water even after I have refilled and re-connected the barrel. The van has an on-board pump. Thanks
I am only guessing - but there is probably a non return valve somewhere in the line. Between the on-board tank and the barrel. If this is faulty - it would leak backwards
You could always fit one - they are available from any plumbers supply. (That is if you can't find the problem.)

It sounds as though the inlet to the tank might be at low level, instead of high up. If this is the case, there should be a 1 way valve to prevent back flow - perhaps there is no valve or it has failed?
The inlets are two types with or without built in non return valve. If your old one was built in but you have fitted one without you will need to fit an inline non return valve in the pipe just inside the caravan before it feeds the pump
Thanks all for your input. You've confirmed my thoughts. Non-return valve ordered and will be fitted before the pump.
Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to all
