We bought a Swift Challenger 565 as we got fed up of making the beds up, so know where you are coming from.
So far, cannot fault the van in any way. Yes, we have lost some kitchen prep space, but in reality every van is a compromise, and the fabulous beds, comfy lounge, ALDE heating (a must), storage etc, etc means we are happy to exercise a little more organisation when preparing meals.

We have the Swift Conqueror 565 and love it, We don't ever need to change it as it has everything we want. We have had other layouts with fixed beds but this, for us, is the best by far.The Alde heating is excellent, lovely and warm and in winter you can time it to come on when you want and with a temperature you want.
As for the kitchen space, well it's fine for us.The small lift up work top offers a little extra space if need be.
We looked at the Bailey Cadiz twin bed model first and fell for the larger fridge in the kitchen area and the overall look if it.
We decided against it as we didn't fancy the smaller wardrobe in the washroom and the overhead cupboards were narrow as they tapered in.It was a lovely van but not for us.
We bought our Swift 565 new in 2015 but it was a 2014 model.

Something I cannot understand about UK market caravans. I'm looking at latest models. £20k & much more & the fixed beds are tiny. some are barely 6ft. The fixed singles have far less width than standard single bed size & the fixed doubles have large bits cut out or circular ends.
All designers have to do is reduce furniture sizes by a few inches & they could fit UK standard sized fixed single & doubles with king size as option if desired.
Oddly most German makes can manage 6ft 6in long beds with fixed singles of generous width. Some of the across the back doubles are nearly 7ft.

It depends how tall you are, I suppose. I'm suprised UK makes do not offer a popular layout on all continental makes for small to med size caravans which is large fixed double across the front with dinette & table one side, kitchen & toilet at back.

We have a large fixed double ... gas struts to lift and provide large storage space beneath.
Very very happy with it.

Yes. You have likes of Sterckeman & also Caravelair which appear to be same caravan all made by Trigano & at the lower end of the price range with beds 6ft 5in x 4ft 6in which is bigger than UK double bed size or twin single model with beds 6ft 6in x 2ft 10in. These caravans even with extras to comparable UK caravan spec are under £17k.
Then Swift Elegance, £27k odd rear double is 6ft x 4ft 4in with rounded end to make it even smaller. The twin single bed version has beds 5ft 8in x 2ft 5in & 6ft x 2ft 6in. Very odd. For that cost a caravan bed should be at least as big as one's bed at home.

At the end of the day they are caravans and I think today's designs are good. If you have longer single beds then you would loose inches somewhere else. For most people the single beds in Swift Groups' vans are fine. For my 6'3'' son its a 'No'.
