Van is in good nick and has been serviced etc but didn't come with the cap to cover up the Shurflu water inlet on the front left of the van.
I've contacted the company who bought the Avondale stock but they said they can't get hold of one.
After some research it seems the cap is a male thread USA NPT-3/4.
Any idea where I can get one of these from - done some searching on e-bay\amazon etc but want to ensure I get the right part before ordering, especially as the spare company said I need to get the 30 psi version (i think to ensure that the system is not damaged if I connect to the mains and there is a pressure spike.)
The inlet looks like this - I just need the cap only:
Interesting.
I've got a Dart 556-6 but it doesn't have this inlet fitted. Must be either a FF option or aftermarket jobby. Do you still have the submersible pump inlet also or has it replaced that? If not, I presume it just connects to the normal inlet pipe in parallel, via a couple of one way valves to isolate the other inlet and a pressure restrictor.
Re your original question, as already said try a plumbers merchant. I often need unusual plumbing bits with weird threads. Ive used a small outlet that makes pneumatic hoses for about 10 years. Never failed to get what I want yet even though I need them for water.
