We are going to NEC show and trying to decide between buying a Baileys Cordoba, an Elddis Crusader or a Lunar Delta. We're swaying towards the Baileys Cordoba due to looming more spacious but have been told to avoid due to water ingress problems with big long front window. Does anyone know if this longstanding problem has been resolved? Also any advice on the models very welcome please. We currently have an Elddis Crusader which we've loved.

To be quite honest, if there's nothing wrong with your Elddis Crusader I would be inclined to keep it. The reason being is that in the last 5 years I've heard nothing but problems from people with new caravans but more to the point is they have difficulty trying to get the dealer to acknowledge that it's their responsibilty to undertake the warranty repairs. In some cases the caravan has had to be returned to the manufacturer for repairs to be done which is extra time and money involved which the customer doesn't always have.

You can have trouble with any new caravan. Buy whichever one suits you best. I would have thought the vast majority of new caravans are fault free. Buyers only complain on forums about faulty caravans. Why should they post on forums to say their new caravan is fault free? For £20k it darn well should be. If you don't believe that then the best advice is don't buy any.

We have had no water ingress on our Unicorn 2 with the big window. In fact its our 5th Bailey all have been free of major faults.

I agree with Opensauce
Buy the van that you like, and like any car you buy new, you can find a fault somewhere if you look hard enough, as with a new caravan.

I think I have responded to posts similar before, pretty much they are all the same, the front and rear panels crack on most vans, go have a look at your selections and others too and choose what suits you best

my bailey ranger had one large front window. it never leaked. what did leak was the plastic rear end which was cracked and the joint strip up on the flat roof.

i would steer clear of a british built caravan, what about the Adrias? they are slovenian and have a better record on leakages. they make UK spec models so no problems with the door being on the wrong side. i would have bought one but they didnt offer a fixed bunk layout any larger than my previous caravan and didnt offer a separate shower on the fixed bunk models ant an age i could afford.

i now have a coachman and even that has leaked.
