Check mine regular on car and van.
Having lost a wheel many years ago on our piper clubman which overtook me on the M6.
And also 2 wheels on back of lorry trailer on M40 which again overtook me.
And a bad knocking on my defender once was a loose wheel, which the tyre fitter never tightend correctly.
(had only just left the tyre center)
Must state that no one else was injured, or damage done in any of the above incidents.
And if i loose one now after being checked, at least i have done everything to make sure the unit was safe before leaving home.
Brother in law lost a wheel on his van.Had a wobbly wheel on my old S3 Landy, loose nuts,in fact a couple had gone.
That was my fault Always used big wheel spider on it after that.
I used to drive 4 tonne Bedfords and LRs in the RAF,they used to insist on wheel nut checks on them.
