Hi Guys,

The connector on the external pump connector, a Truma Carver EP1622 has broken, though the pump itself is fine. Does anyone know where I can get just the connector to replace the damaged one? I can only find the complete thing online so far :-(

I have got a complete water pump that you can have for half the price of a new one if you are interested which is the same one as in your link. I changed my caravan late last year which has a different type of housing so the high flow rate pump and connector are in full working order.

There are 2 water pumps for the Carver Crystal 2 water pump inlet housing which are the EP1322 and the EP1622. The EP1322 is a premium flow rate pump and the EP1622 is a high flow rate pump both as complete units but unfortunately you can no longer purchase the connector independently.
The previous pump design for the Carver Crystal 2 housing was an assembly kit (connector, 12v cable & hose and the pump) where you could buy them independently which are connected by means of jubilee clips but because they rust and can contaminate the water they designed an all plastic sealed water pump that was not only better for safe drinking water but better water delivery too. More people were using the shower so they designed the EP1622 high flow rate pump for this purpose.

had the same problem this week with my truma crystal housing starting to fall apart due to age ,found a brand new clone for £35 which includes a new type renewable filter .from this guy .

as it was quite near in colwyn bay i popped along to his yard and also got a super deal on a used leisure battery ,and a few other bits and bobs .nice easy deal with good advice re-fitting and will definitely use again
