I've had a couple of these, they're good, well made awnings.
I've never used one on a seasonal pitch but I can't see any problem using one like that. Depending on size etc, a few extra ridge poles wouldn't go amiss to stop water pooling on the roof and make sure it's well nailed down before leaving it, especially if you're in an exposed location.
