We have just purchased our second bailey caravan and it has those useless metal wire drawers which everything poke through- this is where I like to store cooking utensils. I have been looking for a plastic liner or box to fit inside. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can use?

I looked all over for particular sized plastic boxes, eventually found some in Lidl, however they will have all gone now. In the short term, can you make a fabric lining with a piece of card cut to fit the bottom?

I have these (deliberately) in one of my cupboards at home; I use them to store vegetables in - cool, dark, and good air circulation, keeps the veg fresh for ages. The one which I don't use for veg, I've lined the bottom with a plastic liner. I bought it on a roll from Ikea, I think it was about 2, then you just cut to size to fit. It's quite strong and doesn't bend through the gaps.

Just looked it up, it's called VARIERA
and it's 2.50 now.

I think the IKEA drawer lining would work, even though I pack things in tightly I use that to stop things moving around too much.

Alternatively, what about a tea towel? Velcro or fabric ties could be used to attach it to the wire basket. The Velcro cable ties from Home Bargains could be sown to each corner.

I only put the Ikea lining on the bottom of the drawer, but it's flexible enough to fold up the sides too if needed.
