on the truma hot water /hot air unit,does the water barrel have to be kept topped up when using the water heated hot air blower ,or does this just run of the unit when it is filled up ,i know it has to be filled for using the hot water from the unit

If you mean can you use the heating only without any water in the system using a truma Combi 4/6, yes you can. There is a setting on the lower dial just for heating independent of the hot water system.

The heating will work with no water in the system (assuming you're talking about the combo boiler).

ah rite it can run on gas ,which i have worked out ,and it blows hot air out of the vents ,via the gas fire ,electric side not work out as of yet ,only just got the van
many thanks so the eleccy side can be run without using the water side in the unit
