We have a fleetwood garland 165/5 1990. We have changed boiler and reconnected but we cant get any water through. We have recently bought the caravan. Can any1 help me please?? Thank you
Are all these 12 volt bits working? Does the pump make a noise when you turn the taps on? Have you tried all the taps? Can you hear a click from the taps when you turn them on? (I'm assuming your van has a micro switch system still) Why did you change the boiler? Did the system work before you changed the boiler?
yes all the 12v bits working.the taps click no noise from the pump. Tried all the taps. we changed boiler because previos people snapped the nut off the end so wasnt holding water. And said it was leaking.
Take the pump off, stick it in a bucket of water, connect it to a 12 volt battery and see if it works.
If it works then the problem is with the micro switches on the taps. If it doesn't work try moving the pump impeller by poking something like a thin screwdriver through the holes in the bottom (with the power disconnected) it may just be stuck and need freeing off.
Regardless of your boiler, the pump is independent of that. Ensure that your the battery switch is delivering 12 volts, then switch the pump switch on. When a tap is on, it should complete a circuit to supply 12 volts to the pump. If the pump still does not operate, check the pump fuse on the electrical control panel followed by the wiring. It is a good idea to have a multimeter for this. Of course it is entirely possible that the pump is defective.

I have had similar problems to this, the pump was working but the tank wasnt getting full, so I was told by my engineer to check to see if the little outlet on the side of the van has the 2 round rubber rings on it, if not that was my problem, air was getting in and caused a block. I havent been to the caravan since wed but I have been to buy the rings and will try it this weekend.
