Hi
Our caravan has a truma combi 2E UK .Does anyone know anything about these as we can't figure out how to put the heating on without heating the water....not sure if its possible to do this but we could with our previous caravan heating system. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Rosie
Hi we have instruction booklet but still can't get just heating on so not sure if we are doing it wrong or if there is a fault (if so it is under warranty) or if its the only way it can be done.I will look on youtube. Thanks for reply.
Press the control knob so it lights up and rotate it until the top left motorhome is flashing. Press knob again to select. That is the heating menu.
Turn the knob until a number is shown Set it to something like 18. That is the temperature setting. Press knob to select.
Then rotate knob until the 3rd icon on the top row is flashing. Press knob to select. That is the heat source menu where you can select
E1 electric 1kw
E2 electric 2kw
gas or both. Cant remember all the options but you can mix and match elcc & gas. When happy press knob.
Then rotate knob until top right icon is flashing and press knob to select. That is the fan. Rotate knob to select setting and press.
That's it.
You must have the heat source connected and available. Electric on and or gas on and tap open on cylinder.
It takes several minutes after this before anything happens.
The 2nd icon from left on top row is water heating. Rotate knob to get it flashing and press knob to select. Rotate knob until it says OFF and press knob to select.
I think the options are ECO, HOT and BOOST. I normally use HOT.
I have a swift challenger that I have just bought and I am not able to get the water through I have filled the aqua roll put in the whale and connected it to caravan turned on the caver cascade 2 switch on checked the fuses but no water what I'm I doing wrong thanks in advance
Hi I think you need to start a new post as yours is a different topic and it might not be noticed but Im sure someone will be able to advise you. Thanks Rosie
Is the pump running when you turn on the tap. You should hear it.
The system needs to be bled to purge all the air through, which mostly is in the water heater. So 15 litres or so of air which has to be replaced by water.
If the pump is running you need to turn a hot tap on and leave it running until water comes out maybe a couple of minutes later accompanied by a lot of spitting water.
There may also be a drain point for the system which needs to be closed. if this is the problem there will be water coming out the bottom of the van when the pump is running.
I think the Cascade 2 also has a non return valve in the heater but am not sure. It's a while since I had one.
