Hi all, new to the forum so treat me gently.
We have recently acquired a Geist Aktiv 450. Took it out for the first time this weekend and loved it.
We have pretty much sussed out how it all works apart from one small thing.
On the left hand side of the dining table is a small control panel. On the panel are 3 rocker switches.
The left hand switch gives us power to our lighting system, needed for both 12 and 240v apparently.
The middle switch is a battery charge indicator.
The right hand switch has a picture at the top of a tap that is blacked out, the middle position is off and there is a picture of a tap not blacked out at the bottom. We get an amber light with the rocker switch either up or down. We get water, both hot and cold, so cannot understand what the tap pictures are supposed to represent. (I am guessing one is for 12v and one for 240)?
Can anyone shed any light (and by the way should it be a green light not Amber?) on this dilemma please.
Many thanks
Hi and welcome to the forum! We have a Geist 550 and have the same control panel. I'm not sure what the difference is between switch up or down but we tend to have it switched up when on 12v or 240 and it seems to work fine for both. Will have a look instruction book for the control panel next time we are out (just come back from weekend away today) and see what it says. Enjoy your caravan and hope you have many happy trips away in it.

Thanks for your reply. Similar to you we had it switched up and it worked fine, I just cannot phathom out what a filled in tap picture is nor the empty tap picture. Couldn't find anything in the instructions we have.
Geist were made by the Hymer group. It is posible than the switch is for showing the water level in the water tank. As I assume you don't have a water tank it's redundant.
That's a possibility, however, why have three positions (up, off and down)? If the amber light is an indicator why not have a spring loaded rocker like the battery indicator?
Curiouser and curiouser !!
The other possibility is it was simply a switch to switch off the pump. Again this might be an internal pump for the non existent tank. I am basing my comments on what has been fitted to our Hymers in the past
The first two Hymers had panels like this
Switch Panel
The first van didn't actually have an internal tank
