Hi, we are having troubles with our TV finding channels, no problems Last season but so far this year we have not been able to tune into any channels.
We have a Status 335 aerial and a 12/24 volt TV, we have previously switched on the amplifier box, instructed the TV to auto tune and we were up and away but now we have nothing! We have bypassed the caravan lead by plugging aerial direct into amplifier but still nothing, the roof top aerial is all as it should be and the antenna is attached, we have brought the TV indoors and it has a picture.
Anybody got any ideas?
We experienced this last year and after trying everything while on site including new leads I called into a caravan shop and asked advice. Seems the amplifier had gone although the unit lights still worked. Cost £23.00 for a new status original part fitted it (5 mins job) and tuned to in straight away.
Hope this helps
Matt

Have you tried exchanging the short coaxial cable from the TV to where it plugs in?
If the centre core is touching the outer brading then this will cause loss of signal.
Have you tried unscrewing and changing the Pinnacle (the pointed part on top of the aerial dish) as this is part of the reception as well?
The thread can corrode which may be wise to use a wire brush and then clean with some Brasso to see if that cures the problem.
Thanks for the replies, I've taken the pinnacle off and it's as good as new, the whole system is only about 18 months old and fitted at the dealers, the van is in a position where we've had signal before and there have been no changes to the area, it's all bungalows so low level housing area.
I think we will have to wait until we go away with a friend and compare/exchange equipment and see what happens.
