going to look at a 2006 bailey pageant monarch 2 berth tomorrow ,is there anything i should watch out for . it appears to be in vgc .
my tow car is a volvo s60 2.4td auto/manual so should pull it with ease and i have done a tow match already which comes out fine .
As all caravans really they all suffer damp so if you have a damp meter take it with you, and use your nose if it smells damp it may be best avoided, check outside front and rear panels along the edges for hairline cracks they can be easy to miss as they can be very small. Check the floor for spongy feel especially by the door and the kitchen area, if its free of damp and the floor is good, then check everything works and check the history too, if its a private sale view at owners house. If it looks too good to be true it probably is so walk away. If everything seems ok but you want to be certain ask if you can get a pro to inspect if he has nothing to hide he wont mind, if you google MCEA you will find a list of mobile engineers near you they will be happy to come and check it for a fee
Good Luck
------------- its our imperfections that makes us perfect
we didn't actually buy it ,as when we got there after aa 90 mile drive ,it turned out to have cream ends (possible replacement) and white sides .the interior was in a bad state of repair and i would sum it up as having been used by a contractor .
we did however find a mint swift challenger 280se last night at the right price from a private seller that has done us a bite yer arm off deal .so bought that one ,and even managed to sell ours this morning to the first viewer .
