Looking around, I think I am the only owner of these excellent mirrors who uses them horizontally rather than vertically.
While it's nice to see one's caravan from top to bottom, I much prefer to have the widest field of view possible to see cars coming up behind me. With the mirrors set horizontally they are pretty much in my peripheral vision while still in the mirror.
Plus, they fit in the bag better.
Views please.

I have the extended arms too, however they vibrate when horizontal for some reason, but absolutely rock steady when vertical. Great mirrors, have tried both flat and convex and use one of each.

May give the vertical way a try on my next trip, as long as I can see past my van I don't see any problem.
I think being able to look properly down the side of the van is more likely to be due to the length of the arms, I couldn't actually see the side of my van like you should hence replacing them with the extended ones.

Surprised to hear that users suffer from vibration - haven't had that problem on current or previous towcar with Grand Aeros, though when I started out I had cheap mirrors that were neither use nor ornament and now sit in the shed.

I had to replace a Milenco Grand Aero mirror last year as it cracked (accidentally and not a manufacturing fault) to which I ordered a flat mirror as I thought the existing one was flat. It wasn't till I fitted the new one on that I should have replaced with a convex one but amazingly, the flat one vibrates but the existing convex one doesn't and never encountered the problem previously. The only reason I can think is that the flat one magnifies the reflection which makes the shaking worse which is the most likely reason why some say they vibrate and others say they don't.
