having now agreed to buy a new van swift challenger 2 berth ,we are going to need a motor mover fitted .are there any makes to avoid etc and it seems that due to all the local dealers being busy we will have to have a home fitting done .any idea if these are any good ? i know they charge about £100 extra but i need it .
I had a powrtouch classic fitted in 2005, it was used on 3 different Caravans. I changed it a couple of weeks ago, for a powrtouch evolution. I had a couple of minor problems in that a wire in the controller which the pp9 battery connected to broke on 2 occasions. This was repaired free of charge both times. The second time I was in France and emailed them, they said to send it back, they repaired and returned it within a week. I only paid to post it to them, that time it was 3 years out of warranty.

I spoke to several people about motor movers before having one fitted and the company that ticked all the boxes was Powrtouch mainly because of their excellent warranty period. We had the Powrtouch Evolution automatic engaging rollers fitted so nothing manual involved in October last year and really pleased with the way it functions.
Another vote for Powrtouch Evo, but it's worth pointing out that other 'vanners who have other movers seem perfectly happy with those as well.
I've never come across any mover that's been slated by owners. With a 2-berth you're not going to put much strain on it.

We had a Truma on our last van, worked well and still did when we traded in five years later.
New van has Powrtouch Evo fitted, I sense a trend here, and so far have no issues with it.
