I haven't but will follow this thread as I've thought the same. Our current van is an older Adria with the crystal connector. I'm still not sure how you stop it leaking as it always leaks everywhere outside the van until I wiggle it about a few times and eventually it stops.

I've just replaced mine, but I went for a modern version of the Crystal 2 inlet. This was mainly because I did not want to buy a new pump. The job was very straight forward.
By the way the reason for the change was a leaking connection - caused by over tightening the Crystal filter, this in turn, causes a crack in the filter case thread that then leaks.

Yes, I had my 2004 Coachman converted from a Crystal Carver 2 housing to a Truma water housing as the connector has two sealing rings instead of one which is much better. However, I requested mine to be changed at the dealer where I bought it from under the proposed deal (at extra cost) which they did along with a new water pump with corresponding connection but the answer you are looking for is, is it any better?
Yes, very much so as on my previous Coachman which had the Crystal Carver housing (with the two securing clamps) I was always getting blow backs from the housing. However, it may not always be down to the housing as if you have the Carver Compact 2 water tank installed it could be related to the non return valve sticking which restricts the flow of water and a common problem apparently on this type of tank. I replaced mine along with a new housing and it all worked satisfactorily afterwards but only changed the caravan for a younger model.

Plus you had to pay for a different water pump with the trigger connection which is around £58 so with the £34 for the housing the total cost would be around £92. The dealer charged me £120 for the lot which included the fitting which is quite good really considering I didn't have to buy any waterproof sealant on top either.
I have to agree though that the Truma Ultraflow system is far better than the Carver/Truma Compact II version.

Same as me graisbeck, I fitted the Ultraflow conversion about 4 years ago it came with the filter but I had to buy a one way valve about £4 or so. I understand they now have a valve built in? Only thingI have had to do was make sure the trigger and housing terminals are clean.

I have removed my old housing ... but forgot which wire goes where ...
Difficult to advise without better detail, but quite simple to determine yourself; if wired up wrong, the pump will run in reverse.
Connect up regardless and test; if pump runs and draws water in, then wiring is correct. If pump runs but doesn't draw water, then simply swap the wiring.
