Hi. Was wondering if anyone was a member of a camping and caravan club da that has meets in the Lake District? Looking to visit one as find most sites insist on minimum of X amount of nights in peak seasons
The only club that provides District Associations (DA's) for rallying is the Camping & Caravanning Club which you have to be a member as you strictly have to show your membership card on arrival. I believe that their holiday rallies require no mimimum nights stay as you just turn up and state how many nights required although it is best to ring the stewards first to confirm that there is room on the rally field. If you look in the monthly magazine it gives details of dates and location etc. of all the rallies being run in the UK.

Current and forthcoming Meets and Temporary Holiday Sites are listed here, but for full details you need a membership number to access, or a paper copy of Camping & Caravanning magazine.
The Lake District is in the county of Cumbria so that's the section you need to look under and then choose a THS (Temporary Holiday Site) in that specific region.
The Lake District being a popular holidaying location will also attract interest from DAs from other areas.
If using Hacksaw bob's link to "Out and About" webpage, inputting say Windermere with a 30 mile radius will bring up all those DA activities for chosen dates.
