Well, no longer in the pending division! I've been promoted to the fully fledged owners league!
Picked the Swift up today, drove it home with no drama or event. I'll be honest, I was pretty nervous but as I'm sure you more experienced people already know...I need not have worried.
So, my new P&J is currently sat on the drive awaiting our first planned trip in a couple of week time. Meanwhile, a pal has kindly offered to teach me the basics of reversing etc.

Once you arrive. Set up the van first before attempting the awning.

Thought I'd update following my post above. The site we went too was Higher Trevaskis, near Connor Downs in Cornwall. Easily found and no dramas for a newbie to towing. In fact, the towing part was the easiest bit overall in what was a new experience to us.
The wind was pretty harsh, reported at 50 to 60 mph. The Kampa stood up well and no issues with the 'van!
