Hi all. A bit new to this. Just got a Quattro '11 with a gas bbq point and wanting to give it a go. Given up with the charcoal. We're rubbish at it anyway. But I have no idea where to start. Do I need a regulator if it has a Gadget attached in the bottle box to which both the van gas and now point are attached with copper tubes please?
Been having a root around and a bit of a Google. The 'gadget' is a Truma fixed bulkhead regulator so I presume I just link it up with the bottle with the normal pipe. So it's just what type of connector I need on the pipe from the bbq to the external truma outlet?
If its a newish van and the gas bottle is already connected to BBQ point via copper tubes as you have said you shouldn't need a regulator or anything else for inside. All you need is the correct attachment to go from actual BBQ to BBQ point on the outside. Go down to your local caravan shop, they will be able to sort you out.

Your gas bottle in the locker should connect to the mounted regulator using a length of pipe with appropriate connections at each end called a pigtail,
The connections need to suit the bottle you are using and the regulator. Any caravan shop will sort you out if you haven't got the right one with the van.
