Anyone had any dealings with a used caravan purchased from a dealer with a Tobell Warranty included.
Our 2010 Challenger, purchased 20th May, went in last Saturday to have the alarm checked as had been playing up, and finally would not arm at all.
Phoned the dealer today and they said they are waiting approval from Tobell to replace the alarm.
All seems to be a lengthy process to replace a faulty alarm that takes 30 minutes to fit. The dealer says the alarm is covered under the warranty and they have the Sargent alarms in stock to replace the Nordellectronica, but cannot proceed until replacement is authorised by Tobell....

Dealer is fobbing you off as under Consumer Rights Act 2015 it is the responsibility of the dealer to sort out the problem and some unknown warranty company.
I am sorry to say but you have wasted your money handing over money for a warranty as the CRA 2015 covers warranty issues anyway and is free!

I guessed the dealer may be fobbing me off and not actually got round to looking at it yet, but didn't think the CRA 2015 would apply as it's a 7 year old caravan.
As with the vast majority of used caravans and cars, the warranty is no more than an insurance policy operated by a third party, and is generally thrown in with the purchase price, or have I got it wrong?

We had similar with a car warranty that we got initially the dealer gave us 3months warranty then the car was covered for a further 9 months on a warranty from a third party. We did claim under the warranty and the garage had to contact the warranty company to get authorisation to do the work it only took a couple of days though to get the authorisation

If you bought the caravan after 1st October 2015 then the Consumer Rights Act 2015 does apply. If the faults were reported within the first 30 days you have the option of rejecting the caravan. If the fault was reported after the 30 day and within 6 months then the dealer has ONE opportunity to do the repair and if it fails, then you can request a refund or replacement. If after the 6 months then the onus is on you to prove that the fauklt was there on purchase i.e. damp.
