I HAVE GOT A GAS BBQ POINT ON MY VAN, HOW FAR DOES THE BBQ NEED TO BE AWAY FROM THE VAN?

Some suppliers will only sell you a maximum of 2 metres, others don't seem to bother. I don't use the one on the van as we have a separate cylinder for our gas grill but I always try keep at least two metres away.

I use a 3 metre hose but as BBQ is supervised 2 metres distant is fine. 3 metres is good to move BBQ out of the wind

I always use a small 3.9Kg cylinder for the BBQ rather than a fixed point. Makes it easier to get it out of the wind / rain or upwind depending on where the smoke is going.

When temperature is just over +30c, 2mtr of hose does to keep the BBQ in the shade. Cadac Safari Chef.
