Hi can anyone help please, we've just acquired the above caravan and when we went away and connected it to the site electricity we found that it only powered the sockets and the lights kept draining the auxiliary battery. Also when we connected the water pump into barrel and attached to caravan it didn't work, but it powered up fine from house electricity. Any help would be appreciated as we are complete caravan novices.
Hi yes, we checked it day before we went and both worked fine. My partner has just checked since we got back and they are both not working on house electricity now. I know it's probably something silly. He's checked fuses and the seem fine
Not sure about the charger grampian91 but eve when connected to full electric hook up only sockets work, the caravan is a 1990 mardon classique, the person we had it from bought it as resteration project and never finished, gave it to us instead. So we know nothing about it
So when you were at home the battery was charged and the lights worked. You go away and the lights worked but the battery kept draining.
The lights work only from the battery as does the pump.
So the battery went flat and now you are at home it's still flat so the lights and pump won't work.
You need to find out if the battery is flat by measuring the voltage and if so why is it flat. probably because the charger is not switched on or failed.
