For you own sake Mick, have the RAC pointed out in which paragraph and page it states this?
You know what they say about a verbal agreement.
It says i am covered for 'car and caravan accident/ breakdown' (in the EU). Short of taking the CEO of the RAC along with me for the duration, i think we are going to have to take the policies word that should the unthinkable happen, said caravan will not be left high and dry.
And.....should the RAC tell me they had their fingers crossed so the policy is invalid due to it being written on a Wednesday with a half-moon, the good old C&CC will cough up once i've got the tub home under my own steam. Which means, unless it is absolutely un-towable, it will be dragged to the ferry, then home by myself.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?

Most good breakdown insurance will recover car & caravan together. Saga state they will also attend caravan breakdown. If caravan is hit then first call is to caravan insurer not breakdown. Breakdown insurance does not usually attend accident recovery.
If broken down on French autoroute their own recovery service will recover. You usually have to pay them & keep receipt to claim back from your breakdown cover. Obviously check your wheelnuts are tight & your tyres are good which should prevent wheel trouble.
Whatever cover you take out speak to them on phone to ensure they are providing what you want.
