Good day at the above open event although weather was horrendous at times.Difficult to understand why anyone would want to take a dog to something like this.Even more difficult to understand the clowns who allowed their beloved pets to sit on the seats of the brand new caravans.I can only imagine what their caravans smell like - I could be wrong and maybe it's just other people's vans they don't give a monkeys about

We have been invited to several of these - we bought a brand new Elddis caravan 4 years ago. However as it is always held in the North East - and we live in Blackpool - it's a bit too far to travel. If we were thinking of upgrading - Can you buy direct from Elddis and is there a good discount if you buy ?

I agree - dogs and brand new vans - don't go together - some dog owners are under the impression that everyone loves them and their smells.

We were going to visit the open day with our dogs, but we would never have taken them inside a caravan as none of the caravans belonged to us. I would have had a look while OH held the dogs and then OH would have had a look. However remember that these caravans are probably the ones that are going to all the shows so will be well abused at the end of the year.

You can't buy direct from Elddis but there are dealers there who are more than willing to flog you one.We actually bought one yesterday from Prestons Caravans who are not too far from you.We also got a good deal

I guess if you want a new Elddis this year, get your order in early. The popular models sold out last year. I heard some someone pre ordering in March for the 2018 model to collect some time Sept/Oct.

I went about 3 years ago, found it very informative. I had already bought an Elddis at the show they were cutting holes in worktops as part of the productions cycle to house sinks these cut outs were then edged and given out as chopping boards. These were the same colour as ours so I had 2 and modified one of them to be a pop up sink extension, the other was cut in half and used for shelving in the bedroom for our cups, specs etc.
We took our greyhound and there is no way i would have took him inside the van but was quite happy to go on the guided tour.

Glossops were offering £1000 off any of the demonstrator vans which apparently they owned. Seems very little off for the abuse they will have received during the months of use at exhibitions. I wonder how many dogs will have climbed all over them during that time.
