Help needed! I have been trying to insure my 26 year old Freedom Sunseeker in order to be able to store it at a local caravan storage facility. Can't find any that will even consider it as it is so old. But it is in a fairly decent condition and I love it. I have had for over a year uninsured as it has been parked where I work but now I need to move it as I retire soon and i have no where to put it except in a storage facility and they require insurance. does anyone have any advice please?
Storeage facility will have liability insurance but liability has to be proved so any damage to stored caravans would not necessarily be attributed to liability by storeage depot which is why they require owners to insure their caravans.
Insuring an very old caravan worth not much is usually pointless but keep trying there are some companies that will insure for around £70pa.
Club Care from the C&CC is certainly worth a try. They didn't quibble when I asked about insuring my 1988 Elddis Tornado, or the 1992 Elddis Wisp 450CT that I bought a few weeks back. My renewal in June this year was £73.60.
