Have just changed from a Bailey to a Swift.
On the Bailey the pump was on the end of the hose inside the aquaroll, so it weighed the hose to the bottom of the barrel.
On the Swift the pump is on board the caravan, and the end of the hose floats to the top of the water and stops sucking water.
How do people weigh their hoses to make them sink to the bottom of the aquaroll?
Temporary cure, add some weight as above or lay the hose flat and use a hairdryer to heat it and take the bends out of it., because it's bought in coils the pipe wants to coil back up.
Straighten it and heat it and then let it cool. It shoud stay fairly straight then.
Hi Enjoytowing
The aquaroll gadget looks ideal. The only problem is I'm not sure my Swift water connector would fit? Both ends seem to be fastened in place and they both appear to be bigger than the diameter of the pipe in the picture. How does it work with yours?

Cable tie a length of rigid plastic tubing to the section of water pipe that is in the aquaroll...
I cable tied a piece of plastic covered coat hanger to it.
We used a length of plastic tubing used to cover central heating radiator pipe, I can't take credit for this idea as it was in a caravan magazine. However, the tubing wraps around the pipe which sits in the aquaroll making it rigid, it comes in different lengths from B&Q you just cut it to size, it works a treat.

I have been caravanning for 3 years without this issue, then suddenly found a new replacement clean filter floated to the top. Excellent ideas on this forum with solid pipe idea - much better than my solution. I ended up with a plastic pole from a dead beach tent wedged at top and with part of a dismantled coathanger bent into a U the other end, positioned around the pipe holding the filter block down to the bottom of the tank.
I recently replaced the filter and found it floated ,after asoak it improved, I I slid a length of rigid plastic water pipe over the flexible pipe.Sorted!
