Looking to change to a fixed bed van but the gap where I store the van at my house is very tight. We currently have a 2002 Ranger 510/4 which is 6.649m long and 2.19m wide.

We cannot go any wider than this, but we could potentially get away with 50cm longer.

Budget will be around £5k I reckon. Suggestions please on makes/models to look at that might fit the bill?

Venus models from around 2012/13 are narrow enough. Don't think they would fall within your budget though.

Why not look at a newer Ranger?

Bailey Ranger 460/4 from 2005ish would fit the bill sizewise and budgetwise.

Cheers, yeap already found the Venus and as you say, too new to be within budget.

Hand't even considered a Ranger, didn't know they came in fixed bed flavours :-)

We had a 460/4 2006 model, according to my old details it was 2.19m wide and 6.25m long. MTPLM was 1184kg, the weights change slightly from year to year. Look out for the GT60 models with a higher spec which came out around 2008/9.

They get a bit tricky on width because most have a corner shower cum toilet beside the fixed bed. These both have a fixed minimum width that works and the Ranger was that.

We had a 2010 520/4

Try Sprite Alpine 4 which was similar to the 460/4.

IMO small fixed bed vans get very cramped in the front lounge as the bed seems to dominate. Also the corner shower toilet is not that good.
